I think the away jerseys look good but the home jerseys will make them look like a bunch of orange creamsicles. I guess it'll take a bit of getting used to.

www.soundtigers.com/news/release_080806.htmSOUND TIGERS UNVEIL NEW UNIFORMS LOOK AHEAD TO 2006-07 SEASONThe Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders, unveiled new uniforms - featuring the Islander colors - at a press conference on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the team's practice facility, The Rinks at Shelton. Sound Tigers President Howard Saffan, Head Coach Dan Marshall, Assistant Coaches Joe Ferras and Bernie Cassell and goaltender Wade Dubielewicz were on hand for the announcement and met with members of the media to discuss the fast-approaching campaign. Bridgeport will use the original Tiger face logo on home and away jerseys, although this focal point of the uniform will be orange instead of blue as it was in the past. The home white jersey will feature sharp orange designs along the sides, sleeves and on the shoulders. The away uniform is navy blue and strongly resembles the Islanders' traditional look with orange and white stripes. Additionally, a third jersey was unveiled; this uniform is white and combines the traditional Sound Tigers' look, featuring a blue Tiger face, with the Islanders' colors. The eye of the Tiger on the third jersey is orange, instead of yellow, to reflect the American Hockey League team's relationship with the Islanders. Saffan said the new look will create a stronger connection between the Sound Tigers and their parent club and also enable players to use the same equipment, such as gloves, when they move up and down between teams within the organization. In addition to unveiling the uniforms, Saffan highlighted the 2006-07 schedule - including the preseason slate - for the sixth season of Sound Tigers hockey. The preseason schedule includes games against Hartford in Danbury (Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m.) and in Cromwell (Oct. 1 at 4 p.m.). "It's very important that the entire state of Connecticut embraces the Sound Tigers," Saffan said of the significance of the team's neutral site preseason games. The Sound Tigers will host Albany on Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in Shelton in another exhibition game. Saffan also discussed the fan-friendly regular season schedule which features a home opener against Hartford on Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m., 14 Sunday home games and an educationally-themed Kool Fun 101 game on Nov. 15 versus Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 11 a.m.
