Tambellini, who played with the Sound Tigers in last year's playoffs, skated one game with the Islanders this year. After being acquired from the Los Angeles Kings last season, Tambellini played 21 games with the Islanders and registered a goal and three assists for four points, along with eight penalty minutes. He subsequently had a goal and two assists for three points and two penalty minutes in seven playoff games with the Sound Tigers. In 56 AHL games with Manchester last season, Tambellini recorded 25 goals and 31 assists for 56 points, and was selected to play in the 2006 Rbk Hockey AHL All-Star Classic. He also appeared in four NHL games with the Kings. Tambellini, 22, is a Port Moody, B.C., native and son of former Islander Steve Tambellini. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound left wing was selected by the Kings in the first round, 27th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. The Sound Tigers visit Hartford on Friday and travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday.

I figured he would be staying with the Isles, I'm Surprised Hilbert has been getting the starts. I thought he did pretty good the one game this season he was in. At least the Sound Tigers just got a LOT better.
